Little Garden is
the Montessori for Everybody
8AM - 6PM
In our Montessori classrooms, children learn in a multi-age environment where younger students are inspired by older peers and older children grow into leaders and role models. This natural cycle fosters confidence, independence, and a true sense of community.
Grounded in the fundamentals of Montessori philosophy, our program emphasizes hands-on learning, freedom within structure, and respect for each child’s unique pace of growth. Through purposeful work and individualized guidance, children develop concentration, problem-solving skills, and a lifelong love of learning—skills that extend far beyond the classroom.
Programs:
Primary
(Ages 2.75 - Kindergarten age)
Our Montessori Primary Program, designed for children ages 3 to 6, provides a rich, engaging environment where independence, curiosity, and a love of learning naturally flourish. Rooted in authentic Montessori philosophy, the classroom offers purposeful work in practical life, sensorial exploration, language, math, and cultural studies—all tailored to meet each child at their individual stage of development.
But we are more than a classroom—we are a full-service school committed to supporting the whole family. Parents receive guidance on how to bring Montessori principles into the home, creating consistency and confidence for their child’s growth. Through workshops, resources, and open communication, we partner with families every step of the way.
At the heart of our program is community. Children and families alike are welcomed into a warm, loving, and supportive environment where relationships are built, milestones are celebrated, and everyone feels they belong. Here, education isn’t just preparation for school—it’s preparation for life.
After School Program
(School Aged)
Our after-school program provides homework assistance, studying help, project support, games, and crafts to students. We welcome students off the bus at the LGM parking lot, provide healthy snacks, and access to an outdoor playground garden. We are committed to creating a supportive community that nurtures lifelong learners and responsible stewards of the environment. Parents can pick up their children at (or before) 6 PM.
Toddler Time
(Mobile and older)
Toddler Time is more than just a class—it’s a community. Designed for children ages birth to 3 years, this program invites toddlers to explore, play, and grow through engaging activities that support their natural development. Each session blends purposeful Montessori-inspired work, playful movement, and hands-on discovery to help little ones build confidence, independence, and important skills.
But Toddler Time isn’t just for the children—it’s for parents, too. We emphasize community building by creating a warm, welcoming space where families connect, share experiences, and support one another on the journey of raising young children. Together, we celebrate milestones, encourage curiosity, and build friendships that last well beyond the classroom.
We will be hosted by the Beekman Library every OTHER Friday starting on September 19th, 10 to 11:30 AM. Please contact the Beekman Library to register and be aware that there is a cap of 20 children per class.
